Urine Test for Kalideres Terminal Bus Crews Intensified

The health check and urine test are intensified for bus crews at Kalideres Bus Terminal, West Jakarta.

Kalideres Bus Terminal Head, Revi Zulkarnaen said bus crews must be healthy and free from drugs before driving the bus.

"It aims to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers," he said, Tuesday (3/25).

Revi added the activity is held by collaborating with West Jakarta National Narcotics Agency, Health Agency, and Sub-district Community Health Center.

"Community health center personnel from all Districts join the activity alternately. There are also scouts assisting on the posts," he added.

Revi continued the health check and urine test are also applied for additional bus drivers.

"More than 20 bus crews are tested everyday here," he continued.

If a driver is found to have a history of illness or is sick, the health authorities will provide medication according to current condition.

Then, BNN and police will take further action if there is bus crew to be positive with drugs.

"So far so good. There is no bus crew positive with drugs," he admitted.
